My 21-Day Gratitude Challenge, Day 1
Today is the first day of my first 21-Day Gratitude Challenge!
A couple of months ago, I recall seeing some Facebook friends posting statuses of gratitude accompanied by which “day” of said gratitude-sharing they were on. At that time I was heavily steeped in GMO posts, and therefore thrilled to see some heart-grabbers mixed in. A fan of gratitude myself, I was also intrigued; what program was so popular to be seen popping up in seemingly unrelated friends’ pages? Curious, but also busy, I watched the thought go by while continuing to enjoy the posts throughout the weeks.
As if the Universe knew what it was doing (wink, wink), last week I got pointed to just the information I was looking for but previously too busy to seek out, and found myself on the website of KindSpring, “A Global Movement of Kindness.” There I noticed a new “Gratitude Challenge” that I could participate in beginning November 7th. Sweet!
I woke up this morning, and despite not thinking about it for a few days, knew that gratitude time was here. I went online, signed up for the challenge, and posted my first day of gratitude on Facebook:
Day 1: Today I am grateful for my true friends. Those who are willing to move with me through the fun as well as the mundane and even the icky. Those who love me, respect me, and want to spend time with me. I am so grateful for the amazing community of friends in my life. You know who you are!
How amazing that something so simple as gratitude can start out my day with a smile… and yours, too!
It isn’t too late to sign up and be reminded daily to feel and share the power of gratitude. Imagine all of our consciousness of appreciation joining together for 21 whole days! We are so powerful!
There is also a lot of other great stuff on the website, including a page full of “kindness ideas.” I have barely looked at them yet, but am already excited that kindness is getting so much attention!
Help me create the world we want to live in, one kind act at a time. Share with us what you are grateful for today below, and keep up with my daily posts to continue sharing!
